What You Will Do
As a R&D Electrical Test Engineer at Stryker, you will create verification plans and test procedures to support testing of various life saving devices produced by Stryker. This role will perform the Verification of Electrical design including Circuit boards for a variety of products.
Technical Responsibilities:

  • You will create verification Test Protocols for various electrical components and sub-systems for medical devices.
  • You will apply advanced circuit and electrical system test methods.
  • You will assist design prototyping and perform bench testing.
  • You will create and execute the plan for Electrical Test Development including planning for test schedule, providing Work estimates, etc.

Business Responsibilities:
  • You will learn and apply an advanced understanding of customer needs and design inputs.
  • You will learn and apply a proficiency with Stryker's products intended use and clinical procedures.

Med Device Compliance:
  • You will follow fundamental industry standards, design requirements and test strategies which apply to regulatory requirements.
  • You will independently create or refine various Engineering Documents that relate to Testing.
  • You will follow R&D procedure like design controls and risk management, per the Quality Management System.

General Responsibilities:
  • You will work closely with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing and Project Management to ensure project success as a key member of the team, collaborating with others and solidifying relationships.

What You Need
  • Bachelor's degree in EE or related engineering discipline required
  • 2+ years of related work experience required

What We Would Love That You Have (Preferred)
  • Understanding of software as it relates to embedded systems.
  • Working knowledge of electrical design process, electrical components, and manufacturing methods.
  • Ability to interpret, analyze, and test electrical designs.
  • Ability to understand Electrical Schematics and Board Layouts.
  • Ability to apply analysis tools and statistical methods.
  • Knowledge of system components and associated requirements.
