Form of workModel-Based Design (MBD) Test Senior Engineer Responsibilities:

- Work with model-based design algorithm engineers and software engineers to ensure their algorithms are robust, understandable, and testable
- Develop and generate test software using MBD tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink) that:
- Verify the required features and functional content
- Ensure compliance to safety requirements, regulatory requirements, local building codes, and internal company policy
- Develop test automation procedures at the function/model level (MiL/SiL/HiL testing) and at the system ("black box") level.
- Define and maintain test systems used for HiL testing
- Support the development of Standard Work
Qualifications (required):
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 2 years post graduate experience working as a software or Test Engineer
- Experience writing function and performance tests using MATLAB and/or C/C++
- Must be highly motivated, a self-starter, agile thinker, who is excels at working collaboratively in a team environment
- Highly effective communicator
Qualifications (preferred):
- MS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred
- Experience working with rapid control prototyping systems (e.g. dSPACE MicroAutoBox)
- Experience with test automation software (e.g. LabVIEW, VeriStand, TestStand, MATLAB Unit Test, Simulink Test Manager)
- Experience using a hardware-in-the-loop system for system verification and validation
- Familiar with and experience working with ICE 61508 or ISO 26262 standards
