HOURS: 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.8 hours, 5 days, 12 months QUALIFICATIONS: High school Graduate or GED, extensive electronics background preferred Six (6) years minimum electronic experience required. Considerable knowledge of solid state theory operation and practices.
Considerable skills and experience in working with miniature and sub-miniature parts and components. Considerable skill in performing work requiring manual dexterity and good physical condition Must be 21 years or older Must be keyboard and software proficient and willing to learn those software programs that are specific to the desk JOB DUTIES:Repairs all types of audio-visual equipment, including but not limited to projectors, tape recorders, VCR, radios and televisions. Repair and troubleshoot classroom audio systems, PA systems and auditorium sound systems.
Repairs big screen televisions, H.D.T.V., monitors, L.C.D. projection systems and any type of Video Projection Systems. Repairs all wireless equipment.
(Examples include but are not limited to would be local R.F. transmission and receiving systems and satellite dish systems) Repairs CD players and recorders and D.V.D. players and recorders.
Must be able to troubleshoot and repair circuitry to component level. Has the ability to assist the low voltage electrician in the installation and repairs of all types of fire alarm systems and devices, P.A. systems, master clock systems, scoreboards, in-house telephone systems and computer cable installations..
Must also receive proper and up to date training and education to perform the duties of the low voltage Electrician in his/her absence when called upon or directed to.Demonstrates proper maintenance and operation of equipment as needed. Must have working knowledge of proper use of test equipment and be able to read electrical prints and service data. Maintain electronic media equipment and audio-visual devices for educational teaching, training, and entertainment purposes.
Maintains records, files and requisitions materials of audio-visual equipment, etc. Must be able to use a computer as needed. Performs other duties consistent with the function of the job, assigned by supervisor(s)
