SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take a personal interest in personal and team safety. Continuously look for ways to improve safety and assist others to the same.
- Utilize all safety equipment required by the company and follow all company guidelines safety standards.
· Attend all safety meetings as scheduled.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
· Maintain, clean, and organize tools required for the job.
· Strong knowledge of Lockout / Tagout / Tryout safety procedures.
· Working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements.
· Ability and experience working on 3-phase / 480-volt circuits.
· Help maintain working inventories and general repair parts and supplies.
· Work as a self-motivated technician with minimal supervision, always focusing towards improving equipment reliability through well executed strategies and procedures.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace components to resolve electrical and controls issues.
- Calibrate scales and instrumentation in accordance with equipment manuals.
- Adjust timers and programming of devices as needed.
- Correct malfunctions or irregularities of operating equipment and safety hazards or report to management if corrections cannot be made.
- Communicate with operators to identify or anticipate issues, allowing quick mitigation or prevention of plant issues. Serve as a main contact point for ongoing repairs and day to day maintenance activities.
- Safely operate plant mobile equipment to include but not limited to manlifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts.
- Assist in planned and unplanned downtime projects, shutdowns, and emergency work.
- Serve as a resource for quality, site safety, scheduling, and planning for maintenance and rebuild activities.
- This job may require shift work, callouts, scheduled and unscheduled hours. Employee may have work schedule adjusted on short notice.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· 3+ years of industrial, Electrical Maintenance experience.
· Technical training certifications from IEC program.
· PLC programming and troubleshooting experience a plus.
· Good mechanical aptitude and comfortable working with equipment.
· Good safety and attendance record.
· Ability to read and interpret documents including but not limited to safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and lab procedure manuals.
· Communicate effectively with fellow workers and supervisors.
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
· Self-starter and works well independently.
· Good basic math skills, arithmetic, and basic algebra.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee will frequently be required to walk on rocky, irregular surfaces that may be muddy and in reduced lighting conditions. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100+ pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to dust. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, confined space, outside weather conditions, low lighting and artificial lighting. The employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, heat, proximity to electrical equipment, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
