The Electrical Technician play an important role in the manufacture of specialized equipment for TruClear Water Solutions. Be part of a progressive company that offers a "green option" for treatment of contaminated water without chemicals.
Duties and responsibilities
The Electrical Technician is responsible for the electrical assembly of specialized equipment utilizing basic electrical and mechanical skills and abilities:
- Read and understand instruction manuals and blueprints
- Position and align components and parts
- Install and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures
- Install conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables
- Install circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them
- Connect electrical systems to provide electricity to equipment and machinery
- Test electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation
- Inspect electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed
- Use hand tools, power tools, machines and specialized equipment to produce and assemble parts and equipment
- Conduct quality control checks
- Ability to interact well with others, display initiative, and maintain a positive attitude
- Dedication to quality work performance, as displayed by the ability to learn new skills and maintain a detailed focus on construction of specialized and progressive equipment
- Clean and maintain work area, tools, and other equipment
- Ensure all safety standards are met by observing safe working practices and safety rules and regulations
- Maintain secure, safe and clean working environment
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications include:
- Basic electrical experience
- Construction or manufacturing experience
- Must be detail oriented in order to follow instructions verbally and in print
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools and machinery
- Available to work Monday through Friday (7am to 4:30pm)
- Available to work occasionally on Saturdays, evenings, and overtime as needed
- Ability to speak and understand English
- Some travel to customer locations
Working conditions
The Electrical Technician can be exposed to extreme heat, cold, humidity, precipitation, dusty conditions, mechanical parts, electrical hazards, and noxious fumes and odors. May work shifts for extended periods of time in the shops and outdoor environments. On-site housing during the work week is available for the technician that lives a significant distance from Abilene, TX.
Must be able to perform the following:
- Bend and lift loads up to 100lbs safely
- Ability to climb ladders, steps and ramps safely
- Frequently load, unload and move bulky equipment
- Frequently reach above and below shoulders, bend, twist, and squat
- Continually stand, walk, squat and kneel
