Stealth Power is a rapidly growing manufacturing start-up based in Austin, Texas. Our primary products are vehicle and mobile power systems that bridge the gap between traditional internal combustion engine systems and full electric systems.
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join the Stealth Power team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to design, build, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of equipment and machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains, repairs, replaces and tests alternators, cranking motors, distributors, magnetos, generator control units, alternating systems and rectifiers, solar systems and all other electrical and electronic equipment found on vehicle based and mobile power systems.
- Rewire and repair automotive electrical and electronic systems.
- Acts as a troubleshooter in determining electrical defects in the electrical systems in vehicle based and mobile power systems.
- Be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams and service manuals.
- Maintain production records and inventory of supplies and materials.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement improvements to existing equipment and systems.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems.
- Operate motor vehicles or equipment in the performance of assigned duties.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma, with technical or vocational training. Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is a plus. Alternative education and experience will be evaluated if provided.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles, including wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical controls.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools commonly used in electrical and mechanical work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
8. At the time of appointment candidates must possess a Motor Vehicle Driver’s License.
- Appointment will be subject to a background investigation and drug screening exam.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 per year
