Electrical Supervisor

Position Overview: The Electrical Supervisor will play a pivotal role in overseeing electrical and maintenance operations at the company's operation in Leola, AR. This position requires a strong focus on safety, efficient execution of electrical maintenance work, cost management, and ensuring high-quality standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the electrical and instrumentation departments to enhance operational efficiencies and reduce costs.
• Provide in-house training to hourly staff to improve their technical and troubleshooting skills.
• Lead safety inspections and training sessions to foster and reinforce a safety-first culture.
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical, instrumentation, and control issues to minimize equipment downtime.

Qualifications:

• Minimum five years of experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Extensive maintenance experience within a sawmill or industrial setting.
• Proven track record of supervisory experience and leadership.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership, including knowledge of safety procedures such as NFPA 70E and Arc Flash.
• Strong understanding of quality control practices.
• Proficiency in preventative maintenance systems to reduce unscheduled downtime.
• Skilled in troubleshooting methods to meet uptime, production volume, and quality targets.
• Ability to utilize training resources effectively to enhance technical skills.
• Excellent team-building and motivational abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of accounting and financial metrics related to mill operations.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or higher in Engineering, Industrial Electronics, or related field.
• Hands-on electrical knowledge in a plant environment, including familiarity with National Electrical Codes and OSHA regulations, AC VFDs, medium voltage equipment, and PLC programming/troubleshooting.
