Job Description $90,000 - $120,000 + bonus Electrical Manager Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Manager to lead a team of 10 professionals in our plant's electrical department. Reporting directly to the Plant Engineering Manager, the Electrical Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing plant controls issues and managing capital projects related to controls systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in controls, manufacturing experience, and exceptional leadership skills. Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of 10 electrical professionals, including technicians and engineers. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment within the electrical department. Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to team members to ensure professional growth and development. Plant Controls Management: Oversee all aspects of plant controls systems, ensuring they are operational, efficient, and compliant with industry standards. Troubleshoot and resolve complex plant controls issues to minimize downtime and production disruptions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements to control systems and processes. Capital Projects: Lead the planning, execution, and management of capital projects related to controls systems. Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource requirements. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery. Electrical Engineering Expertise: Apply deep technical knowledge of electrical engineering principles to address complex challenges and develop innovative solutions. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in plant controls and automation. Manufacturing Experience: Utilize prior manufacturing experience to understand the unique operational requirements and challenges of the plant. Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to align electrical activities with overall plant goals and objectives. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to electrical systems, projects, and activities. Provide regular updates to the Plant Engineering Manager and senior leadership on the status of projects and ongoing electrical operations. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree preferred. Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably managing an electrical team. Strong background in PLC’s. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Project management skills, including the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and industry standards. Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE) are advantageous.
