The ID1 Facilities Electrical Manager at Micron is responsible for managing a team that maintains, operates and engineers Electrical Systems from medium voltage switch gear to branch panels, instrumentation and fire life safety that directly and indirectly support the ID1 high volume manufacturing (HVM) site. Manager will also initially manage the operations and maintenance activities and be responsible for any outsourced services. Manager is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, internal/external labor resources.
As the ID1 Facilities Electrical Manager, you will be overseeing the engineering team responsible for base build & equipment installations. Team provides design engineering support for existing system modification, upgrades and new equipment installations across high volume manufacturing and technology development sites.
Successful Candidates must have the following Qualifications:
  • Extensive knowledge in the Maintenance, Operation and Engineering of facilities systems including electrical, instrumentation and fire systems
  • Extensive knowledge of Facilities and plant support systems, processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of state/city/federal requirements and policies for facilities systems including DEQ, EPA, and DOT
  • Demonstrated success in previous leadership positions
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook

  • Proven experience using efficiency and reliability tools like 6S, TPM, non-standard work planning process and use of advanced CMMS systems
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Proven ability to drive multiple complex projects to completion
  • Proven ability to communicate and present technical information effectively
  • Proven ability to accurately analyze and interpret data to make data-driven decisions
  • Strong conflict management and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to develop and coach team members
  • Proven ability to mentor and successfully manage the performance of direct and eventual reports
  • Demonstrated ability to partner successfully with other groups and build strong peer relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and promote technical expertise
  • Proven ability to solicit feedback, accept input, and analyze success/failure
  • Proven ability to identify, understand, and mitigate risk before making critical decisions
  • Proven ability to develop succession plans
  • Knowledge of facilities systems engineering design and construction best practices

Education and Experience:
  • A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field or equivalent education and 4 years of facilities experience
  • 4 years of leadership experience
  • Experience in semiconductor front end or backend manufacturing preferred
