About the Electrical Engineering II PositionsOur Electrical Engineers are members of a tight-knit group of engineers and technicians who help integrate Avidyne's next generation of avionics into conventional as well as novel advanced air mobility aircraft. The electrical engineering team works on a wide variety of projects centered around electrical circuits, components, and systems for avionics equipment.
Our Electrical Engineers (II) must specialize in the following technical areas:- Knowledge of modern printed circuit board (PCB) production technologies and methods.
- Knowledge of hardware integration systems engineering software (e.g., LabView NI).
- Knowledge of electronics capture software (e.g., Altium, Cadence).
- Designing and testing digital processor circuits to interface with pressure sensors, magnetometers, gyros, accelerometers, and other sensors.
- Planning of system architectures including functional partitions and interfaces.
- Performing technology selections and documentation of detailed device specifications.
- Integrating mechanical and electrical components into a printed circuit board (PCB).
- Writing requirements, specifications, and verification tests of system hardware.
- Designing, fabricating, and testing CPU, GPU, Data-bus, memory, and FPGA interfaces.
- Resolving complex manufacturing and field problems, driving design updates.
- Performing component engineering, lifecycle support, and continuous product improvement
- Collaborating and mentoring, as part of a team, to support the technical efforts of other engineers, designers, technicians, and departments
- Applying ethical judgment in developing safety of flight/life critical equipment, in a fast-paced environment
- Providing concise and objective written and oral communications, in a timely manner to leadership, internal teams, and external third parties.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering, or a closely related field with at least 2-years industry experience with electrical engineering design or electronics testing.
- Alternatively, a master's degree in electrical or computer engineering, or a closely related field with no prior experience is acceptable.
