Located in Everson, Washington, we are expanding our team and looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join us in pushing the boundaries of design and manufacturing.
Role Overview:The Electrical Engineer will be pivotal in developing and enhancing Retrotec's pressure measurement tools. This position demands a blend of creativity and technical expertise to ensure our products remain at the forefront of the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the electrical design of new and existing products, focusing on innovation and efficiency.
- Utilize layout tools such as Eagle (or other similar PCB design software) and SolidWorks Electrical for schematic and PCB design.
- Collaborate with the product development team to integrate electrical systems with mechanical components, ensuring seamless product functionality.
- Conduct rigorous testing and analysis of electrical systems to guarantee product reliability and compliance with global standards.
- Develop technical documentation, including design specifications, testing protocols, and user manuals.
- Provide expertise on AC induction motors and DC motors, including control mechanisms.
- Work with communication protocols such as RS485, I2C, and SPI to enhance product connectivity and data exchange.
- Stay updated with the latest Electrical Engineering technologies and methodologies to drive continuous improvement in product design and functionality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a robust product design and development foundation.
- Demonstrated experience with PCB layout tools like Eagle, Altium and design software like SolidWorks.
- Proficiency in designing and testing electrical systems for consumer or professional use.
- Solid understanding of motor control theories and applications, especially AC induction and DC motors.
- Familiarity with communication protocols (RS485, I2C, SPI) and their implementation in product designs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to innovate under constraints.
- Strong communication abilities, comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
