DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the design, lay out, fabrication, assembly, and testing of Analog RF components and systems for SIGINT and EW platforms.
- Expert level of operating and maintaining traditional test equipment to include oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and vector network analyzers.
- Must have an absolute understanding of RF component performance, to include filters, mixers, amplifiers and switches.
- Be able to explain and defend the concepts of how analog RF systems come together into complex systems to include understanding the performance of components, controls of overall systems and troubleshooting designs.
- Must be able to design PCBs for surface mount electronics.
- Be able to lay out connectorized components (i.e. cables and sockets)
- Experience of frequency regimes from HF to Ku Bands is required with experience with MMW frequencies desired.
- Thorough understanding of RF Cascade Analysis
- Experience with Low Noise systems preferred.
Education Requirement
- BA/BS in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Highly Desired: Familiarization with Army and National SIGINT systems.
