The successful candidate for the Electrical Engineering Revit Technician/Designer position will work under the supervision of a lead Electrical Engineer, and will perform electrical design for a variety of projects.

Your Role:

• Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to set up and manage electrical construction drawings

• Incorporating design changes using Revit

• Prepare dimensional drawings, create and/or modify base drawings

• Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes

• Create and manage electronic document file structure, naming conventions in accordance with company standards

• Work a typical set of project documents from beginning to end with professional quality output

• Work on multiple projects at the same time to successful completion

• Follow CAD standards, whether the customer's or Tetra Tech's

• Work with project teams on drawings which meet and exceed the customer's requirements (bid and submittal phase)

• Preparing, reviewing, or modifying one-line diagrams, elevation diagrams, electrical floor plans, schedules, and detail sheets

• Meeting project schedules and performing work within budgetary constraints;

• Performing other duties as assigned  

Qualifications:   

         Associate degree or Bachelors degree of completion in CAD drafting or related field from a technical trade school, plus at least two years of related work experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities

         Experience using Autodesk Revit for electrical drawing and following client standards.   For Autodesk Revit experience, knowledge linking files, setting up plan views, using view templates, and worksets is preferred

         Experience with Revit add on tools is a plus

         Able to generate layout drawings from sketches and specifications

         Experience with the design of several types of facilities (e.g., offices, laboratories, facilities, pump stations and wastewater treatment plants)

         Design of lighting and lighting control systems

         Design of fire alarm, security, and other low-voltage systems is a plus

         Familiar with design parameters related to electrical work for buildings at a minimum, water and wastewater treatment plants is a plus.

         Good understanding of NEC and other regulations associated with electrical safety and construction is a plus; 

         Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office

         Able to work with minimal supervision, exercise independent judgment

         Able to efficiently schedule and manage time

         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

         Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member

         Must be able to achieve generally stated objectives and requirements

         Excellent technical writing and communication skills;

         A valid driver's license, and ability to travel to client offices and project sites;
