What You'll Do

• Manage various size and complexity projects from inception through to install and commissioning
• Responsible for system upgrades in electrical power generation, distribution systems, low voltage, and electrical machinery
• Develop budgets, schedules, procedures, and safety measures for projects
• Work with operations team to define scope, develop budgets and schedule
• Report project status to operations management
• Design and/or supervise detailed engineering of projects
• Ensure well hook-up and medium voltage electrical system, installation, start-up, and commissioning are conducted safely and efficiently
• Assist in maintaining Variable Frequency Drives, Programmable Logic Controllers, Instrumentation, Process computers and related equipment
• Communicate with suppliers and contractors to negotiate contracts/purchase orders, oversee permitting, manage construction, etc. as required
• Provide leadership in all matters relating to project and construction management
• Coordinate and account for any changes in scope of work
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for each project

What You'll Need

• Practical knowledge of electrical and common industrial applications and processes
• 3+ years in an electrical, project management or construction field preferred
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical prints and diagrams
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
• Highly technical, detail oriented, organized and self-starter
• Works well with team members or independently: gives an receives feedback in a constructive manner
• Basic knowledge of computers and MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint; Proficient with AutoCAD 2016 or later
• Professional Engineer license considered a plus

Your Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or a closely related discipline) from an accredited engineering college or university
