Electrical Engineer Nasa (Operation Engineer) Remote / Hybrid

Location/Work Hours: The Operations Engineer position is a “hybrid” remote position. It will only require going into the Monrovia office twice a month (the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month). As far as schedule, we do offer several options: 4x10; 9x80 or 5x8’s.

Required Degree: Minimum bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Clearance: US Citizen with clear background as they will have to get a Public Trust with NASA/JPL.

• A strong candidate for us would have a good grasp on the fundamentals for electrical/power distribution theory.
• Questions to be familiar with.. How certain basic electrical components operate, for example: an AC transformer and their windings ratio, an induction motor, and voltage regulator. A technical understanding to power flow such as ground faults and how the power triangle relationship works in power systems would generate positive feedback.

Operations Engineer –Monrovia, CA

Job Description:

Government Tactical Solutions (GovTact) is currently seeking an Operations Engineer to support NASA’s Deep Space Network in Monrovia, CA.

Job Summary:

• Performs system performance analysis, test & acceptance against design specifications, develops reports and briefings related to software, or hardware engineering projects.
• Investigates and analyzes unique or highly technical issues providing technical assistance in establishing procedures and methods.
• Reviews and evaluates complex in-process rejections and trends implementing correction action as needed.
• Interfaces with customers, vendors, and all company departments to resolve technical and quality problems.
• Performs analysis of Preventive Maintenance techniques and provides recommendations for improvement.
• Analyzes and develops recommendations for sparing of equipment, ensures adequate sparing levels.
• Provides recommendations in the areas of equipment and process improvement, quality engineering, software quality.
• Analyzes system, equipment, software for failure modes, performs root cause analysis.

Required Qualifications:

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineer.
• Must be well versed in Power Engineering
