A co-op in this position will work closely with engineers supporting the hardware development lifecycle for aircraft cargo systems. Specific tasks may include hardware development, technical trade studies, hardware requirement / interface definition, and hardware testing.

In addition, you will be working cross functionally with software designers, test engineers & technicians, and project leadership. This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, and will run May/June to December; it is only eligible for current students with a graduation date past December 2024.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the design, development, and maintenance of electronic and electro-mechanical hardware for aircraft cargo systems

  • Contribute to assigned cross-functional engineering project team responsible for the design, development, and verification of electronic and electro-mechanical hardware

  • Support project team activities related to the specification of requirements, hardware implementation, test case development, verification test execution, and certification support

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Electrical Engineering processes and procedures, including writing electrical requirements, electrical design and implementation, functional and integration testing, writing test cases and test procedures, and electrical delivery support

  • Interest in working in the aviation electronics industry (experience with DO-178 / DO-254 / DO-160)

  • Spice simulation experience

  • Hyperlink experience

  • PCB Manufacturing and Layout experience (comfortable looking and and reviewing PCB layouts)

  • DO-178 / DO-254 / DO-160 experience

  • EMC, single integrity, or power integrity

  • Strong contributor to a positive work environment that focuses on solutions
