Electrical Engineer

Full-time professional position located at ST Paper office in Franklin, VA, with travel/relocation to unanticipated project sites within the US expected.
DUTIES:
- Participate in evaluating current performance of all unit operations within the Recycled Fiber plant from pressing through solids handling.
- Complete conversion to tissue mill focusing on electrical conservation.
- Assist in the development of systems to ensure mill electrical documentation is readily accessible to mill technicians and contractors.
- Implement arc flash safety requirements and circuit study.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Conduct regular tests to monitor and gauge the mill’s operating capabilities and ensure plant and equipment are operated safely to achieve overall productivity and quality objectives.
- Providing assistance in troubleshooting electrical issues and develop strategies, projects and training to prevent further occurrences.
- Develop and implement a preventive and predictive maintenance program for the electrical infrastructure and controls.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related engineer or engineering management position in the paper mill/paper manufacturing domain. Foreign equivalent degrees are acceptable.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: The required 2 years of experience in a related engineer or engineering management position must be in the paper mill/paper manufacturing domain. Foreign equivalent academic degrees are acceptable.
