Electronic circuit design including analog, digital, microcontrollers, a/d converters, SMPS design, and schematic and PCB layout. Hands on experience in development, troubleshooting, and the repair of electronics and PCBs a plus along with the knowledge of multiple battery chemistries and charger design.
The ELECTRICAL ENGINEER is responsible for the design of new electronic products up to full production. This includes specification reviews, development program timelines and reports, design reviews, simple mechanical designs, documentation packages, preproduction builds and transfers to production. This engineer will also be responsible for technical support of some mature electronic products currently in production. Other duties may be assigned.
- Uses PCB layout programs, such as KICAD or Altium and creates new designs using such program.
- Uses CAD software such as AutoCAD in day-to-day job duties.
- Coordinates and performs field management assessments and audits/surveillance.
- Provides technical direction to senior management for bids and proposals and assists in problem resolution specific to the program/project.
- Designs and tests electronic products, including but not limited to battery design, charger design, and other associated electronic products.
- Writes manufacture and test procedures and reports.
- Implements and updates configuration management processes, including but not limited to engineering drawings, bill of materials, engineering change notices, specifications and other related documents.
- Participates isproject teams and all activities related to the development of new products.
- B.S in Electrical Engineering/Physics or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of experience in electronic circuit design including analog, digital, microcontrollers, A/D converters, SMPS design, and schematic and PCB layout. Hands on experience in development, troubleshooting, and the repair of electronics and PCBs a plus along with the knowledge of multiple battery chemistries and charger design.
