Job Description
We are seeking a motivated self-starter for an EHS Warehouse Coordinator position in our company. The EHS Warehouse Coordinator will be responsible for supporting a high-performance safety culture by implementing existing safety processes, conducting inspections and audits, risk assessments, providing training as necessary, championing current proactive safety processes, and working with and coaching managers and employees. He/She should be able to adjust and assimilate to facility specific requirements and also deliver training programs, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and company standards, participate in the incident/ hazard investigation process, participate in the risk assessment process (JHA/PTP), and assist in the implementation of corrective actions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assure the adequacy of MICU EHS procedures; to ensure compliance with site, company, local, state, and federal regulations. Review, update or create EHS procedures as necessary.
- Assess the work to determine compliance with EHS policies, procedures, and applicable standards promptly communicating concerns and recommendations to managers and/or supervisors for their action as well as for continuous improvement.
- Participate in facility risk assessments.
- Take immediate action on any imminent danger situations observed.
- Assist in the inspection of personal protective equipment, safety equipment, and first aid supplies.
- Educate management and supervision in the applicable EHS policies and procedures.
- Ensure EHS orientation of site employees and subcontractor personnel when required or requested.
- Ensure prompt and adequate treatment is provided to injured employees and subcontractor personnel.
- Ensure adequate investigation and analysis of incidents (non-injury and injury) and develop plan to prevent reoccurrence.
- Ensure site emergency procedures are known and included on JHA/PTP.
- Conduct site EHS inspections/audits and report observations/findings in Procore.
- Provide EHS information for the education of management, supervision, and employees concerning:
-Incident analysis (cause, trends, results, and corrective action),
- Analysis of inspection results and needed corrective actions,
- Safe work procedures, and
- EHS training requirements.
- Ensure compliance with MICU Leading Indicator Initiatives (Incident and Injury Free Approach and Zero Tolerance Policy);
- Ensure preparation, submittal, and/or maintenance of required EHS recordkeeping documentation, such as but not limited to; inspection reports, training records, JHA’s, BBS observations, injury logs, accident investigation reports, SDS reviews, Permit to Work, etc.
- Provide EHS evaluations of employees and supervisors to management, as necessary.
- Provide first aid as needed. Must have valid First Aid Certifications, AED and CPR.
- Conduct routine health and safety observations. Report a minimum of 3 Opportunities for improvement in safe work practices or conditions and 3 Positive safety interactions, observations or safe practices daily.
- Ensure facility equipment is compliant with Federal, Provincial/State, Local EHS laws and regulations.
- Able to provide personal transportation to any MICU facility.
- Provide EHS support at the TSMC Facility as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- OSHA 30
- More than 3 years’ experience in EHS
- Warehouse Management experience
Preferred
- OSHA 510/511 or EHS certifications (i.e., CSP, CHST, SHEP, CSHO)
Skills:
- Strong Interpersonal and communication skills
- Exceptional organization and coordination skills
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
