Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator will be responsible for administering EHS programs. This includes administering safety training, employee health awareness, compliance with safety regulations and procedures. Will administer and assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of Environmental Health and safety programs, procedures/practices necessary to provide for safe and healthy working conditions for employees and to help operate the facility in an environmentally responsible manner.

• Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters

• Report on health/safety awareness, issues and statistics
• Monitor compliance of safety programs
• Provides continual training to team members with an emphasis on safety and service
• Have a flexible schedule and work all shifts, holidays, and weekends
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Work as a team member by interacting and communicating with fellow associates in a cooperative, constructive manner
• All training provided by AFW

Physical Requirements:

• Requires the ability to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas
• Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours or more daily
• Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back
• Conducting training or an investigation that requires lifting, griping, bending, kneeling, stooping and moving equipment or merchandise

• Fluorescent Lighting
• Concrete Flooring
• Climate effected by outside conditions
• Considerable exterior noise
• Extreme temperature fluctuations in the warehouse

A pre-employment drug screen and pre-employment background check must be passed upon job offer.

Pay Grade B: $16.00-$29.71
