Career Level: Mid-Senior
The EHS Specialist at HIS Innovations Group plays a crucial role in our semiconductor manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of all operations within the facility. The EHS Specialist will develop and enforce EHS protocols, conduct regular audits, and provide training to employees. They will be responsible for investigating accidents and incidents to prevent recurrence and ensure continuous improvement in safety standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee EHS policies and procedures in line with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular environmental / safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the semiconductor manufacturing process.
- Provide training and guidance to employees, ensuring they are aware of and comply with EHS regulations.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, report findings, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure equipment and machinery meet safety standards.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) legislation.
- Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and training activities.
- Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
- Stay updated with the latest safety regulations and best practices in the semiconductor industry.
- Act as a point of contact for all safety-related issues within the facility.
- Maintain and submit OSHA Log
- Manage Stormwater permit.
- Manage Hazardous waste.
- Collaborate with all levels of the organization to ensure desired Safety Culture is attained and maintained.

- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards specific to semiconductor manufacturing.

Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an environmental, health and safety role within a manufacturing environment, semiconductor experience preferred.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification is highly desirable. Ongoing education regarding changing rules and regulations.
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to move around the manufacturing facility including climbing, bending, and reaching.
- Capability to respond quickly to emergencies.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as required.
