EHR System Administrator

 

The EHR System Administrator assists the EHR Manager with the Netsmart implementation, modifications and operations by providing guidance, knowledge, and insight to staff members, managing due dates and deadlines, researching and testing new product developments within our EHR system, and implementing agency programs into our EHR system (including, but not limited to: Netsmart myEvolv, myAM, myHealthPointe, CareConnect, OrderConnect, RevConnect, KPI Dashboards). This position is responsible for issue-resolution, assistance on new and unfamiliar tasks, project management, forms creation/modification and upgrade testing.

 

The EHR System Administrator is a full-time position reporting to the EHR Manager. The EHR System Administrator possesses an in-depth knowledge of the goals and desired objectives of the product. The person in this position, under general supervision, will provide oversight and hands-on support of, customization, maintenance and troubleshooting of applications for the business operations. The position will be responsible for optimizing and extending functionality of the systems, assisting with reports and testing applications to support business operations. The position will work closely with all areas of HR, Finance, IT and Business Administration to support the applications. This role contributes to the team to further provide training, share knowledge, and processes and ensures lessons learned are documented.

 

Work Schedule

  • Regular hours entail 7:00am - 4:00pm MT, Monday - Friday
  • Remote
  • Travel to agency & facility locations may be required.


 

Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Ensure that applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.
  • Review and analyze existing applications’ effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.
  • Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-usage best practices.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and materials for use of the EHR.
  • Participate in product discussions that will identify, recommend, and implement process improvement opportunities with collaboration of other teams.
  • Stay current with product, industry, and technology trends.

 

Acquisition & Deployment

  • Research and make recommendations on software products and services in support of Clinic needs and development efforts to meet those needs.
  • Operational Management
  • Must be able to establish and maintain a strong partnership and communication with HR, Clinic, Legal, Finance and other product owners/stakeholders.
  • Serve as internal subject matter expert on Netsmart products, components, features, customizations, and use.
  • Provide training, direction, guidance, and continued support to staff in other departments regarding the products.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and maintain security roles and rights across all modules within the product.

 

Position Requirements

  • Ongoing management and audit of product data, documentation, and system settings including maintenance of application standards as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for investigating data errors and correcting them as appropriate to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinates and implements the resolution of technical issues or problems related to product, including opening and tracking issue tickets with Netsmart.
  • Develop, implement, and document the procedures required to execute business processes.
  • Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system.
  • Create and maintain a cadence of informational and interactive sessions with the Business, Clinical and IT Teams.
  • Creating Training Materials for end user tasks and conduct training as needed
  • Resolve day to day technical issues.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Cover occasion weekend and holiday support for clinic staff.

 

Qualifications

  • Four-year college diploma or university degree in computer systems design or computer science, and/or 4 years equivalent work experience.

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • 3 years direct experience managing Netsmart applications and/or systems management.
  • Must be able to handle highly sensitive data with confidentiality.
  • Experience with Teams and Office 365 is required.
  • Experience with Netsmart MyEvolv required.
  • Experience with SQL is desired.
  • Experience writing, creating, rendering, and scheduling myEvolv reports, including ad hoc reports.
  • Experience working with stakeholders to translate business requirements into application solutions.
  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation on processes and standards.

Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing abilities required by this classification includes those which permit the employee to discern verbal instructions and communicate effectively in person, by telephone. While performing the duties of this classification, the employee works in an office setting where the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee must also analyze and evaluate situations and adopt effective courses of action.
