Huntsman is seeking a EGU Operations Team Leadsupporting the Performance Products Division located in Conroe, TX. This position will report to the Operations Manager.
Job Scope
This position will directly supervise the area specialist assigned to the advanced technology purification unit to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective operation of the assigned units. This position is also part of the Ad. Tech Center of Excellence (COE). The Ad. Tech COE is in charge of driving improvements and support other sites in the production of electronics grade & high purity chemicals.

Job Scope

As the EGU Operations Team Lead you will:
- Perform duties of a production engineer: group leader position is a working supervisor to support and direct day-to-today activities.
- Manage front-end process functions for the unit.
- Facilitate process priority setting for plant management.
- Collect and evaluate incoming process suggestions, review proposed changes in the assigned unit via the MOC process and conducts scope and process reviews.
- Assign projects, ensures workflow, guides and mentors unit operators and specialist, and conducts performance evaluations.
- Lead and participates in cross-functional teams such as production meetings, process improvement teams, month-end closing, and plant metric reviews.
- Serve as global technical advisor for management and other sites in the area of manufacturing of high purity and electronics grade chemicals.
- Actively seek opportunities to add experience and logical approach to problem solving, goal setting, and unit improvements. Uses technical knowledge and experience to guide, coach, and instruct other plant engineers, both on-site and globally.
- Monitor efforts in the site to ensure compliance with all elements of Process Safety Management and the Huntsman Product Stewardship initiatives.
- Monitor safe handling, identification, storage, and removal of hazardous waste streams resulting from production activities.
Other general responsibilities:
- Follow instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
- Assist other employees in accomplishment of Huntsman company goals.
- Participates in and completes company- required training programs
- Participates in Environmental, Health & safety initiatives as set for the company.
- Traveling between 5-10%.

Minimum requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in a Chemical Manufacturing setting.
