Job Description
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for leading the TSM Widmann automated sealing machines and the TSM Crew. The TSM Team Lead will oversee machine floor production and oversight of all assigned employee tasks while complying with all safety, quality, construction, production, and housekeeping standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide work orders, schematics, and machine manuals to facilitate set-up and troubleshooting.
- Assist machine changeovers and adjust as needed.
- Familiar with control panel and machine functions including ultrasonic welding, glue and hole punch units, die changes, and other basic machine functions a plus or will train.
- Document raw materials and inspect binder flats after sealing.
- Supervise productivity levels and quality requirements.
- Leads material flow and movement with forklift operators and assists in inventory control.
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Maintenance Manager.
- Ensures that TSM Operators maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required per P.M. charts.
- Fill out appropriate production paperwork.
- Be a key position in process improvement team activity efforts.
- Identify, train, assign, and coordinate employees within the department.
- Lead by example, constantly striving for continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.
- Ensure that equipment is maintained to ensure the highest level of efficiency and safety.
- Achieve assigned production goals.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree
- One to three years of related experience and/or training.
- Basic computer skills, general office equipment skills, and familiar with and able to operate most if not all the production equipment within area of responsibility and be able to explain its safe operation to others.
While performing the duties of this job,the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee may lift to 50 pounds on occasion. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus.
