Job Overview:

We are seeking passionate and dedicated educators to fill roles within our unique organization. Hub of Curiosity is a provider on Outschool.com. Outschool is a global, virtual learning platform with over 1 million learners from around the world. Our classes are often niche and interest-based. We have learners from a variety of learning backgrounds, but our largest demographic are homeschoolers.

Our classes are held online via Zoom or delivered asynchronously. Our course framework is developed, but educators are free to be themselves in the classroom, follow organic discussion topics, and explore topics in fun ways with our learners!

*** We are currently seeking educators for Spanish immersion classes. ***

Duties:

- Customize our developed lesson plans to your teaching style

- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students

- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback

- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a cohesive team unit

- Communicate with parents or guardians regarding student progress, when necessary

Work Environment:

You must have a quiet, well-lit area in which to teach with reliable technology. Additionally, if you have small children, childcare arrangements must be in place to ensure a distraction-free environment for our enrolled participants.

Additionally, you must reside in one of the following countries for background check purposes: US, England, Wales, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or South Korea. Background checks are renewed annually at no expense to you.

Qualifications:

- You do not need to be a licensed teacher or have in-school experience. Corporate training, volunteer roles, and more will all be considered. The key factors for success are classroom management, passion for the topic you’re discussing, and a solid foundation of knowledge in the subject matter of the classes you’ll be leading.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners- Patience, empathy, and a passion for all

- Spanish fluency

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 5 per week
