JOB SUMMARY
Serves as the Education Specialist for content areas within Education at Geisinger which includes Undergraduate Medical Education, Graduate Medical Education, Health Professions Education, and Continuing Professional Development. Promotes and coordinates learners and activities to support education in a designated content area. Provides faculty and learner support for educational programs. Supports, coordinates and makes recommendations for accreditation, site visits, self-studies, curriculum development, program development, assessment and evaluation.

Responsibilities:
JOB DUTIES
- Tracks, facilitates, collaborates and/or coordinates learners in areas of education across the health system.
- Participates in the onboarding of learners into system as needed.
- Assists with the development of curriculum for both learners and faculty.
- Oversees the implementation of educational activities, including activity registration, program implementation, coordination of events, and overall program evaluation.
- Coordinates with Educational departments (UME, GME, HPE, CPD, GEMS) on educational activities, when needed.
- Assists with the development and maintenance of the faculty evaluation, learner evaluation, and program evaluation system.
- Serves as administrative liaison with educational leaders/faculty/staff to assure implementation and maintenance of learning activities and the learning environment.
- Interfaces with learners, teaching faculty, and administrators to assist with accreditation, documentation, and evaluation efforts for educational programs as needed.
- Participates in budget development and implementation as needed.
- Represents educational content area on assigned internal and external committees.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Faculty Development: Deliver faculty development on educational technology tools and strategies through various modalities, including but not limited to monthly publications, supplemental training materials (e.g., video tutorials, handouts, infographics, etc.), consultations, and workshops.
- Technology Assistance: Offer comprehensive technology support to Center for Faculty and Professional Development faculty and staff, including video recording/editing (Camtasia), survey design, data analysis, website maintenance, instructional material and assessment development (in collaboration with content experts), Learning Management System (LMS) curation, basic graphic design (Canva), and assistance with various educational technology platforms (e.g., audience response systems, collaboration tools, digital whiteboards, podcasting, etc.).
- Microsoft 365 Expertise: Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite basics (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint) is essential. Familiarity with additional apps (Forms, Bookings, Sway) is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) is a bonus.
