Role Overview
You will be at the tipping edge of technology, integrating low voltage wiring which is the nervous system that interconnects Fisker's leading Electronic Control Units and drive motor controls for our customers throughout the entire vehicle. You will play a key role in designing and releasing Fisker's wiring packaging solutions directly with the Tier 1 and manufacturing partners; designed to the highest standards and unsurpassed performance. Both your packaging input and release efficiency will enable power and signal flow to our devices that will enable unique experiences offered by our cars.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in automotive wiring harness development (EV/Hybrid is a plus).
- Wiring systems engineering experience is a plus.
- Understanding of CAN, LIN and automotive-based Ethernet communication.
- Knowledge of automotive standards including ISO 26262 & SAE/USCAR.
- Experience designing with inputs from several other commodities, including EDS suppliers & outside vendors while attaining durability & cost requirements.
- Able to work hands-on with prototype wiring harnesses outside & inside vehicle environments including the creation of assembly instructions.
- Experience working with multi-Tier suppliers for development and issue resolution ensuring on-time deliveries of wiring harness families.
- Knowledge of Design for Assembly & Design for Manufacturing applied to wiring harnesses to support vehicle manufacturing partners & suppliers.
- Able to travel internationally to supplier sites and vehicle assembly plants as required.
- Prior release experience with OEMs/Tier1s is a plus.
- Experience in reviewing/assessing connector applications based on Interface Control Documents.
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or other relevant Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3 years relevant professional experience in automotive wiring (OEM is a plus).
- Experience with CATIA V6 and Siemens PLM.
- Experience with Tier1 application engineering process (3D-2D wiring flattening).
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Proficient with Jira/Confluence/Jama or other similar tools.
- Managing Engineering change processes (ECRs).
Expected Salary Range: $74,900- $120,000 a year.
Additional compensation: Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker's equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.

Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.
The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.
