General Job Description
As a Video Editor you will join the Production Department serving alongside a team of editors. Each editor on the team is responsible for the start to finish editing project from raw footage filmed by our in-house Videographers. In a normal month the RESHOEVN8R Production Department is responsible for delivering a minimum of eight long-form video cuts for the Brand’s YouTube channel and around 35 short-form video cuts for organic social media posts monthly, not to mention the additional marketing material that is also created each month. This is a fast-paced environment, with strict deadlines and a diverse team of award-winning creatives looking for an innovative, detail oriented Video Editor to join the team. Job Duties:
- Owning project start to finish - including ingest footage, organize project, rough edit, and finalized with revision.
- Work on strict timelines to ensure assets are created and provided to the needed channels within the allotted timeframes
- Consulting with the Director of Content Strategy throughout each project to ensure brand standards are implemented
- Editing footage with detail and precision by trimming, color correcting, matching, and grading, inserting dialog, audio adjustments, sound effects, music, graphics, special effects, and creative flare
- Cross department collaboration with our social media team to develop final short form video post production
- Ability to edit raw footage from multiple camera angles in a single project
- The majority of your time will be spent editing video segments
- Make video products available in a variety of formats (16x9, 4x5, 9x16)
- Coordinates internal and external duplication services as required
- Ability to edit raw footage from multiple camera angles in a single project
- Ensure all projects follows a logical sequence of events and is engaging to captivate our target audience
- Creating the final asset variations available in a variety of formats for external publishing based on the goals of the project
- Assist in the management of all raw video content archives library
Skills & Abilities:
- Demonstrable video editing ability
- Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work autonomously
- Flexible; ability to adapt to changing priorities and multiple tasks
- Interest in editing video segments
- Knowledge of video production procedures, practices, techniques, and terminology
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Ability to take initiative and must have the confidence to learn in a “live” environment
- Must be reliable with excellent organizational skills and very strong attention to detail
- Integrity, honesty, openness, and a willingness to operate as a team player
Experience/ Knowledge:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of proven video editing skills, with at least one year of professional experience
- 2-3 year experience with post production software Adobe Premiere, and Macintosh operating systems
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
