Hyperion Insights is a dynamic, boutique digital marketing agency and content production studio. We provide high-end marketing solutions to our clients while also nurturing and managing our own internally-owned web properties.

We are looking for an experienced copy Editor with a background in SEO to help us maintain our high editorial standards for the content we produce for our clients and our own properties. You will be responsible for ensuring that content produced by our team is written well, adheres to SEO best practices, and furthers our big-picture strategic goals.

You will also be responsible for helping manage our team of writers, ensuring that deliverables are completed on time, and helping with the overall management of the content production teams.

We are a relatively small team, so everyone is expected to wear multiple hats. You will be expected to help with things that are not strictly "editorial".

The work schedule is fairly flexible, and our philosophy is that quality and quantity of work productivity are more important than where and when you are working. Our office is based in Scottsdale, AZ. While we would love to hire someone local who can work with us and go for coffee/meals/etc. some of the time, we are open to hiring from anywhere, provided you can typically work during normal business hours in our time zone.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience with copy editing for an agency or in-house
• At least 2 years of SEO-related experience
• Exceptional attention to detail; please mention the word avocado in your cover letter so we know this applies to you
• Excellent writing, proofreading, and editing skills
• Strong time-management skills -- a self-starter who does not need to be directly managed
• Experience with WordPress or a similar CMS
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
• Ability to give and receive constructive criticism

• Strong interpersonal skills

Ideal candidates will have the following:

• At least 5 years of experience copy editing for an agency or in-house
• At least 3 years of SEO-related experience
• At least 2 years of experience managing writers

• Marketing background/experience
• Experience working with any of the following: law offices, medical practices, wealth management firms, health/nutrition. Please be sure to mention any experience you have with these in your cover letter.
