We are seeking a highly collaborative Editorial Assistant. This role will have responsibilities with our Frederic magazine and with our division that publishes F. Schumacher & Co. books.

As Editorial Assistant, You Will:

• Assist with photoshoots on set
• Coordinating with workrooms to create products for shoots - ordering fabric, communicating vision, organizing transportation for furniture to and from workrooms, tracking the progress of products created
• Coordinating with photographers and securing image licensing agreements
• Tracking down and purchasing pick-up imagery from photographers/archives
• Coordinating with press teams from other companies for product pick-up
• Updating the business development team’s credit spreadsheet after each issue of FREDERIC is finalized to track which advertisers are organically featured in print stories
• Story research

For the Book Division:

• Keeping organized + completely up-to-date a central spreadsheet - shared with book writer, art director, and editor - that tracks each image’s permission/hi-res/invoice status
• Gathering designer/homeowner/photographer permissions
• Creating an alphabetical list of all photographers featured in the book + tracking page numbers they are featured on
• Double + triple checking that all images are attributed to the correct designers + photographers in the final layout

You Have/You Are:

• VERY ORGANIZED in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Enthusiastic about interior design and creative!
• Willingness to collaborate and take on tasks, even smaller tasks.
• Bonus if you like writing!
