TISTA Science and Technology is looking for an EDI Test Engineer to join a program that performs IT Operations and Maintenance, Infrastructure Protection and Information and Assurance, and Software Development Support Services for our federal client.

Responsibilities- Create and review complex test plans, manage test plan execution, generate test case and test data, build procedures and testing scripts based upon functional specifications
- Coordinate and execute tests, log and validate defects, debug and document outcomes
- Manage testing stories and tasks on the scrum team boards
- Coordinate test activities with scrum team members
- Act as a bridge between business, design, development, and test teams for all EDI related questions/clarifications
- Support integration test efforts between external systems and EDI (third-party providers)
- Manage project deadlines, as well as your time and schedule in a fast-paced federal environment
- Maintain DSTRs
- Assist test lead/manager to define and refine functional testing approaches, tools, automation and documentation
- Interact with Federal and contractor functional leads to clarify requirements and scenarios
- Assist the Federal and contractor resources to conduct User Acceptance Testing
- Respond to developers' questions regarding test results, bugs and defects
- Communicate frequently with customers and team members, facilitating discussions an exercising professional judgment as required
Qualifications
- 5 years of IT Industry experience (Required)
- Experience in SAFe Agile team environment working within fast paced scrum teams
- Ability to read and understand Functional requirements, Technical design documents and produce test requirements, stories & tasks
- Expert in testing EDI transactions i.e., 837(I/P/D), 835, 999, 997, 270/271, 277CA, 277RFAI, NCPDP, etc.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL queries (Run & Write)
- Knowledge of EDI, X12/EDIFACT, HIPPA standards and practices, and EDI translators (TLE)
- Experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (strongly preferred)
- Experience with HL7, FHIR, and other healthcare messaging frameworks
- Proficient in EDI layouts (loops, segments, data elements
- Experience with data exchange protocols such as FTP, SFTP, AS2 etc..
- Intermediate understanding and experience with Unix and Windows
- Strong co-ordination, communication, reporting & analytical skills
- Experience in creating project plans, test plans, conduct end to end testing/validation
- Experience working on Federal programs that are of high priority, visibility, and public-facing
- Must be able to work quickly with a high degree of accuracy with cross-functional teams
- Able to work under minimal supervision, act independently and exercise an expert level of decision-making capability
- Excellent writing skills and ability to produce polished written products
- Demonstrated ability and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, etc.)
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field of study or an additional 8 years of work experience (total of 13 years experience)
Clearance:
- The ability to pass a Tier 2/Modest Background Investigation

Pay Range:
- The suggested pay for this position ranges from $47,240 to $87,500
- The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location
