Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a sharp Systems Engineer (Space & SEIT) to join our growing Space Engineering Solutions team!

You will get the chance to leverage your existing Systems Engineering (while continuing to learn and improve your skills alongside our subject matter experts) to perform Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) activities on small to large-scale space systems to help improve our nation’s security. The Systems Integration Test Engineer will focus on the integration and testing of the Parsons COTS products related to satellite command and control ground systems. This role is responsible for ensuring the successful integration of system components. The role encompasses regression testing of software releases, to validation of new products and capabilities created to meet program objectives and requirements.

What You'll Be Doing :

  • The successful candidate will excel working as part of a technical team of software and integration engineers who successfully integrate, test, and deploy complex systems to the customer.
  • Work on software integration projects that will vary from satellite command and control software, mission specific software, ground hardware & network control software.
  • Integrate into a small, high-performing team.
  • Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness of test program.
  • Independently author formal test procedures, standard operating procedures, and data reports
  • Plan, implement, test, document, and maintain solutions for the integration and testing components, elements, subsystems, and systems.
  • Establish functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem.
  • Review, evaluate, and derive requirements for testability, develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems.
  • Perform analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance.
  • Write discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems, and systems.
  • The candidate will develop any supplemental procedures required to ensure successful test execution.
  • Relentlessly pursue continuous improvement, emphasize outcomes over metrics, and be a good teammate
  • Be able to interpret complex system requirements.
  • Communicate the concept of system operations to other engineers as you work with the Parsons satellite command and control ground system.
  • Ensure the required system configurations is correct for test execution and system installations.

What Required Skills You'll Bring :

  • Active Secret security clearance , with willingness and ability to obtain and/or maintain a TS/SCI.
  • A Security+ certification, or the ability to obtain a cert in the first 120 days.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Systems Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of experience, OR master’s degree in computer science, Systems Engineering or related field with 2+ years of experience.
  • Strong Systems Engineering background.
  • Strong verbal/written communications skills enabling them to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with Integration and Test/Verification
  • Experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software, and specialty engineers to develop solutions.
  • Experience in automated testing to include building tools, capturing output, and maintaining an automated test suite.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites.
  • Familiarity with Agile processes and development methodology.
  • Familiarity with VMware, virtual servers, and containerized-virtual-environments.
  • Detailed knowledge of Windows and Linux environments.
  • Experience with network applications and networking concepts.
  • Experience with military systems used in space domain awareness.

Salary Range:
