Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an onsite RF Product Test Engineer to join our Specialty Engineering RF Engineering Design and Test team in Dallas, Texas. The Specialty Engineering organization drives business success by providing a variety of critical engineering services across all Raytheon product lines and functions. Within Test Equipment Engineering, the candidate will have responsibility for the verification of RF products including Transmit-Receive Integrated Modules, RF Circuit Cards, and small antenna arrays while supporting product manufacturing and test.
The RF Product Test Engineer will become a member of an integrated product team inclusive of design, process, and test. You will be responsible for maintaining the production test systems, evaluating daily yields, and aiding in the resolution of production related issues with the product, test system, and manufacturing line. You will also provide guidance and training to operators to keep product deliveries on target and the next level of system integration on track.
Please note that this is not a system level Test Engineer opportunity, but rather a component level opportunity centered around RF module/CCA testing requiring component level and test station troubleshooting. Entry level experience with classic transmitter and receiver parametric testing using RF Keysight PNA, RF PXI and NSI equipment is essential to support product and test equipment.
Responsibilities to Anticipate
- Verification of RF products including Transmit-Receive Integrated Modules while supporting product manufacturing and test
- Support resolution of manufacturing and test issues and driving continuous improvement projects
- Monitor manufacturing and test data daily to identify defect trends and working with process and manufacturing engineering to resolve any issues identified
- Implement needed electrical design changes verifying performance of modified circuits and updating corresponding electrical requirements and specifications
Basic Qualifications
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer an MS or BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Math or closely related discipline
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance
- Experience of RF test methods, systems, and equipment with experience in the application of statistics to data to formulate decisions on behalf of the team
- Experience in the authoring of requirements and verification documentation, inclusive of test plans and procedures
- Knowledge of production and assembly of RF/Microwave modules
- Strong communication and presentation skills
