American Logistics is looking for a EDI Boomi Specialist to be at the forefront of revolutionizing our next-generation transportation management software. As part of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for design, development, implementation, and maintenance of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) solutions that facilitate the secure and efficient exchange of healthcare data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data flow within our organization and with external partners.
EDI Specialist Duties:
- Design, develop, and maintain EDI solutions using Boomi and other modern AWS integration tools.
- Collaborate with business analysts, IT teams, and external partners to gather and document EDI requirements.
- Implement, monitor, and support EDI processes to ensure data accuracy and timely transmission.
- Troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues, ensuring minimal disruptions to healthcare transportation operations.
- Create and maintain EDI documentation, including trading partner agreements and process flows.
- Stay current with industry standards and best practices related to healthcare EDI.
- Lead EDI integration projects and provide guidance to junior team members.
- Develop and execute testing plans to validate the accuracy and reliability of EDI transactions.
- Participate in on-call support for EDI systems, as needed.
EDI Specialist Requirements or Must Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in EDI development and support in the healthcare industry.
- Expertise in Boomi and other modern integration tools.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare data standards, including HL7, X12, and FHIR.
- Proficiency in SQL and database management.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead integration projects.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and other healthcare compliance regulations is a plus.
Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge of standard database ETL processes.
- Working knowledge of data analytics and reporting.
- Understanding of Datamart and Datawarehouse architecture concepts.
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, C# and Python.
- Familiar with GIT or other Source Control applications.
