Summary: The Echo Technologist position enables the facilitation of positive patient outcomes by

performing all aspects of cardiac sonography and assisting in other diagnostic procedures as

needed, including stress testing and holter monitoring.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Sitting: 4-6 hrs/day

• Standing and walking: 2-4 hrs/day

• Lifting: 25-50 lbs with good body mechanics

• Frequent twisting and bending

• Moderate to heavy pushing: 500 lbs.

• Endurance: Light to moderate (3-7 METS)

• Visual Color Discrimination: Requires color discrimination

• Body Positioning: Requires adherence to ergonomically correct recommendations

• Exposure to wetness: moderate to high

• Irregular or Extended hours: Occasional

Qualifications:

• Graduate from accredited cardiac sonography program or equivalent.

• Board registered cardiac sonographer or registry eligible

• Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications: Board registered cardiac sonographer

• BLS certification required. License to operate a motor vehicle with proof of auto

insurance.
