Cerner Kids Learning Centers are Cerner owned and operated Montessori education centers for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years for the exclusive use of Cerner associates. Cerner Kids fosters continual growth and a unique educational experience through developmentally appropriate and socially oriented activities, instilling the Montessori philosophies of independence, peace, respect and education. It is our philosophy that each child is a unique and special person. It is our desire and privilege to share in the development and education of each child entrusted to our care. In acknowledgement that the parents or guardians are the first and foremost educators of their children, we form a partnership with them so that every child has the best environment and opportunity for growth and maturation.
We are professionals in Early Childhood education, and incorporate this knowledge into the daily activities. We teach to the whole child ensuring that he or she is developing socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically. We have a child-centered curriculum that plans for the individual child who can explore and learn at his own pace. In caring for children, our educational approach and environment is a loving one filled with excitement, curiosity, and fun.
Cerner Kids is currently accepting applications for Early Childhood Teacher and Early Childhood Support Teacher positions. The Montessori philosophy guides our programming, and we look for talented teachers to build lessons and activities to capture the interests of the children in their classroom. Cerner Kids candidates should possess the ability to assess and respond to the needs of children, using professional knowledge of children's developmental milestones along with the ability to apply creative and varied approaches to children's unique behavioral, developmental and educational needs.
Teachers need to work cooperatively and collaboratively with their team members, remain calm and positive in a sometimes-stressful environment, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to multi-task. Teachers at Cerner Kids are responsible for curriculum planning, implementation and assessment, parent partnership and basic care giving for children 6 weeks to 6 years of age.
Job Description:
• Plan and implement basic Early Childhood education or other specialty curriculum
• Observe and document student behavior and learning
• Model a positive environment meeting the physical and emotional needs of children and families
• Use multiple media to communicate with parents regarding routine issues and classroom activities
• Collaborate with co-teachers and leadership team to manage routine situations and escalate issues as required
• Explore potential solutions within industry best practices and latest Early Childhood development research
• Manage parent-teacher conferences including documentation of progress toward milestones, preparation for parent meetings, and facilitation of engaging dialogue during conference
• Foster positive parent relationships and offer advice to parents regarding child development
• Drive professional development through staff meetings, Teacher In-services, and other trainings to meet the Missouri Professional Development requirements
Strong candidates should have experience in lesson/curriculum planning, classroom management, collaboration with teachers and staff, family engagement and parent relationships, team collaboration, training new staff, strong communication skills (both written and verbal), organization, teaching social skill development and behavioral management (i.e., Conscious Discipline)
Responsibilities

People Management Responsibilities (for associates with one or more direct reports): Seek to understand disagreements, ensure all perspectives are heard and facilitate a plan for resolution. Delegate the work appropriately, provide clear expectations and follow up to ensure progress and overcome roadblocks. Identify associates and team priorities based on business direction and adjust when needed. Lead by example and share knowledge and experiences with associates and team. Create a respectful work environment where you advocate for your team, create accountability and recognize accomplishments. Provide timely feedback to encourage success, ensure accountability and connect opportunities for your associates' development. Identify the right talent to achieve the desired results. Promote and build a diverse and cohesive team to accomplish objectives and align associates' skills to fill gaps.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the United States only
Hiring Range: from $13.61 to $26.01 per hour; from $28,300 to $54,100 per annum.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
