JOB LOCATION = NASHVILLE, TN
JOB SUMMARY
Provides support to emerging adults between the ages of 18-24 who are recovering from mental illness and/or substance use to enables them to achieve their aspirations for transitioning to living and working in the community. Actively encourages residents to be involved in every aspect of household management.
Needed Shifts:
  • Sunday 2p-8p, 8p-8a (overnight)
  • Wednesday 10p-8a (overnight
  • Saturday 2p-8p
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  1. Maintains daily operations of living facilities.
    1. Ensures that the house is kept neat and clean by assisting participants in completing assigned chores on a daily basis.
    2. Notifies coordinator of maintenance issues as they arise.
    3. Creates weekly grocery list with input from residents.
    4. Performs and documents monthly fire drills.
  2. Record keeping and administrative duties.
    1. Records time on a weekly timesheet in Paycor.
    2. Records daily progress notes on each participant in AWARDS.
    3. Creates a weekly menu and grocery list and posts it by Monday of each week.
  3. Coordinates support services for participants
    1. Monitors medications to ensure medication compliance.
    2. Teaches skills to participants such as cooking, house cleaning, budgeting, shopping, laundry, hygiene, and other live skills and documents these in progress notes.
    3. Ensures safety of participants by checking on them regularly during shifts
    4. Ensures that participants’ rights are enforced.
    5. Assesses situations to determine cooperation among roommates.
    6. Meets with participants to discuss interpersonal skills.
    7. Assists participants in carrying out goals.
    8. Meets with resident to discuss plans and goals for housing.
  4. Public/Staff relations
    1. Utilizes voice and email.
    2. Communicates regularly with other staff to meet the needs of participants.
    3. Develops appropriate working relationships with other mental health, social services, and rehabilitation agencies.
    4. Works as a team player with other staff
    5. Ensures confidentiality of all participants by not disclosing information about participants to anyone outside of Park Center staff.

    1. Collaborates with staff, members, and the community to gain the perspectives of others having diverse opinions, abilities, values, beliefs, perspectives, and ethnic or cultural backgrounds.
    2. Takes deliberate steps to increase own cultural competency by attending trainings, events, discussions, workshops, etc.
  1. Other duties as a member of Park Center
    1. Attends mandatory training sessions – prior notice will be given.
    2. Assists with overall program events.
    3. Has good attendance in the program and informs supervisor in advance of leave of other time off
    4. Follows all personnel policies.
    5. Completes all required Essential Learning trainings yearly.
    6. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or social services related field and one year of experience in a mental health or social service setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with five (5) years’ experience in a mental health or social service setting. One year of which was working with youth or emerging adults.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer proficient in Word and Excel
  • Strong professional and ethical behaviors
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to show proof of personal automobile insurance.
  • Must be insurable under Park Center’s automobile insurance.
