CACI's SystemWare Team is seeking a highly motivated mid-level DSP Engineer in the Herndon, VA area with demonstrable experience in design and implementation of advanced signal processing algorithms for wireless signal collection systems. This role requires understanding both theoretical and practical aspects of DSP solutions for RF collection and processing as well as experience in FPGA architectures and algorithm implementations in a commercial environment. Your expertise will help drive forward nextgeneration RF system designs used in a variety of applications across our customer space while collaborating with a cross-functional multi-disciplinary team including signal processing, software, hardware, mechanical and systems engineers. As part of our signal processing and embedded software team, you will participate in the design of specialized tools, sensors, and communications devices, embracing evolving and novel technologies, oftentimes outside of your "comfort zone", to achieve innovative solutions to complex problems.
This team specializes in designing and building hardware and software to meet our customers' next requirement. The one they do not know they have yet. Our expertise allows us to rapidly provide specialized SWaPoptimized electronic/mechanical design, embedded & application software, reverse engineering & protocol analysis, and RF signals exploitation and communications.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:

• BS Electrical Engineering or similar field plus 5 years' experience designing DSP solutions to run on FPGA, DSP, ARM, or x86 platforms
• Must be a US citizen
• Position doesn't require a clearance to be hired but must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance after starting the role
• Knowledge of communications systems, associated algorithms, and their design, including an understanding of RF filters, signal detection/modulation/demodulation, channel equalization/channel estimation, channel coding (FEC), RF signal acquisition and recovery, RF frequency control (AFC), and RF gain control (AGC)
• Mixed signal requirements including quantization and algorithm fixed point implementations.
• MATLAB, Python, or X-MIDAS tools used for algorithm design / validation and test vector generation

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Embedded software development and interfacing with FPGAs in tightly coupled processor configurations (such as Zynq MPSoCs / RFSoCs)
• Hardware peripheral programming and control for both digital and analog devices
• Deployment of software solutions within containerized environments such as Docker
• Experience with cellular and WAN protocol specifications, such as 3GPP (5GNR, LTE, WCDMA, GSM), IEEE 802.11 (WIFI), IEEE 802.15 (UWB, Zigbee), and/or LoRaWAN, to include finding and using for specific technical implementation details
• Experience with modular open platform architectures such as OpenVPX, CMOSS / SOSA, or MORA / VICTORY, and an understanding of subsystem interface architectures

$85,800 - $180,200
