Overview

• Care Force Homes is seeking motivated caregivers who are team players to provide person centered support services to individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities in a residential/group home setting in Princeton, MN.
• Our company is committed to providing Person Centered Services, and you will receive training in Person Centered Thinking and Positive Behavioral Interventions. We do not use physical interventions.

Hours

Part-Time - Minimum of every other weekend the schedule is flexible based on how many hours you are seeking.

Schedule: Thursday Friday and Every Other Weekend

• Wk 1: Thursday/Friday 3-10PM, Saturday 9AM-9PM
• Wk 2: Sunday 9AM-9PM, Thursday/Friday 3-10PM
• Other opportunities available if you are seeking more hours

Compensation

• No experience $15.50/hour.
• With experience $16.00/hour.
• Paid sick earnings.
• New Hire bonus after 6 months of employment.
• 1 1/2 times Holiday pay if work on 8 designated Holidays.

Responsibilities as a DSP (Direct Support Professional)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Report to shift on time, ready to work.
• Participate in implementation of daily activities and daily routine.
• Support persons served in their home and taking them in the community as assigned.
• Prepare and maintain records of each person's progress and services performed either written or using a computer.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance for people served while still being a caregiver.
• Due to physical limitations of the people we serve, you are required to provide more hands on personal cares.
• Willing to respond to and provide necessary care for people who have seizures.
• Perform cleaning duties as assigned.
• Work as a team member and work with the person or persons assigned to you during your shift while also providing support as needed to your co-workers.

Qualifications for DSP Position

• Ability to communicate in English effectively both verbally and in writing or on a computer and ability to use good judgment.
• Must hold a valid driver's' license with a clean driving record.
• Be able to pass a State background study with clear results per MN statutes.
• Willing to work with persons who have limited communication abilities and adapt to and use their communication methods.
• Be able and willing to do transfers and lifting up to 75 lbs. on a daily basis and support persons in wheelchairs and as needed while walking.
• Must have flexibility to fill-in on other shifts and trade shifts on occasion.
• No experience required as we will train you in providing direct care services.
