JOB DESCRIPTION
BAE Systems is seeking an exceptional Senior Depot Level Maintenance (DLM) Off-Site Repair Telecommunications Engineer for an exciting opportunity to support the United States Space Force’s (USSF) Satellite Control Network (SCN) providing Maintenance Assistance for the Data Transport Product Support Sustainment Logistics Maintenance (DSLM) contract located in Ft Walton Beach, FL. The objective of the DSLM contract is to sustain and modernize the Data Transmit (Tx) and Receive (Rx) Network (DTRN) as part of the Battle Management Command, Control and Communications (BMC3) organization within Space Systems Command (SSC). The DSLM effort provides sustaining, maintaining, and logistics support for the operational capability to transfer data for the purpose of providing highly reliable and secure telemetry, tracking, command, control, and communications (TT&C3) for more than 195 Department of Defense (DoD), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), civil, and allied satellites, as well as the future sustainment, maintenance, and logistics of other DTRN programs at the appropriate phase.
DSLM primarily supports the SCN. The SCN is a global network of Radio Frequency (RF) antennas, complex signal processing and routing communications equipment and computer systems that support a growing inventory of increasingly complex space vehicles which support operational forces in peace and wartime. It is designed to have the flexibility to support a wide spectrum of orbiting satellites. Many satellites with various altitudes and orbit inclinations are supported on a 24-hours per day, 7-days a week schedule.
The DLM Off-Site Repair Telecommunications Engineer will provide 100% Off-Site Repair support for the Depot Level Maintenance Team. This position will repair Contractor Supported Weapons Systems (CSWS) parts that are Interim Supply Support (ISS) managed, for all network peculiar items assigned CAT II National Stock Numbers associated with sustainment modifications and upgrades, IAW the CSWS Guide. The DLM Off-Site Team will maintain a Contractor Inventory Control Point (C-ICP) and perform repairs as well as repair all Test, Measurement & Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) assets which fail while on loan. In addition, operate and establish controls to ensure all assigned TMDE is accounted for, calibrated, certified, repaired and turned in if Not Repairable This Station (NRTS) IAW TO 33K-1-100-1, 33K-1-100-2 and 00-20-14. The DLM Off-Site Team will provide off-site DLM for OO-ALC repairable assets, restore equipment to appropriate levels of performance and return the end item in a serviceable condition IAW AFI 23-101. The Team will perform conformance testing of all repaired parts prior to return to inventory. In addition, they will utilize and develop as necessary the technical, engineering data, specifications, lowest detail level data available, vendor specifications, Technical Manuals, or Preventative Maintenance Information data when testing system hardware or software for conformance. Off-site DLM will be provided for non-stock listed repairable assets, restore repairable equipment to appropriate levels of performance and return the end item in a serviceable condition.
Strong technical and maintenance skills are required. This position will be a Senior position and a person with 6 – 10 years of experience is needed to provide the proper technical talent to execute the mission.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
- Education and Experience Level: HS 10+, AA 8+, BS 6+, MS 4+, PhD 2+ - 6-10 years of Technical and Depot Level Maintenance Expertise as well as IT Field Service experience.
- Knowledge - Applies extensive risk management expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines.
- Contacts - Contacts are frequent with individuals representing other departments, and/or representing outside organizations. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data on matters of moderate importance to the function of the department or which may be of sensitive nature.
