Dry Plant Operator

Dry Plant Operators are have three distinct roles: Dryer Operator, Evaporator Operator, and Warehouse Forklift Operator. All operators are to be trained to perform all three roles, and roles will rotate on a weekly basis. The following is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the responsibilities of this job. However, it does list the essential functions of the job and any applicant for this position should be evaluated according to these requirements, without regard to physical handicap. Essential functions also include the ability to get along with other employees, to follow directions, to work under stress with deadlines, to be able to get to work and maintain regular attendance during scheduled work hours. • Comfort and willingness to work with computers, due to the automated nature of the equipment. • Ability to lift 50 lbs. • Forklift certified within 14 days. • Have an understanding of relation between physical equipment and control screens. • Ability to learn and understand general mechanics and piping. • Taking routine samples from different pieces of equipment. • Adjusting equipment for different processes by moving pipework. • Setting up equipment for cleaning and washing. • Ability to walk up and down three flights of stairs. • Ability to work in a hot (110° and up) environment (though time spent in this environment will be strictly monitored and controlled for safety purposes) • Running lab equipment to check product quality. • All other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
