Manufacturing Support / General Plant Operator

Altec Aluminum Technologies is an ISO-9001 certified company located in Jeffersonville Indiana. We are dedicated to producing high quality custom aluminum extrusions of all shapes and sizes.

Altec is looking to fill an immediate opening for a Mfg/General Plant Operator (GPO) to come and join our growing manufacturing team. You will be working four 10hr. days, Monday through Thursday.

This is a role functioning in a support role to various manufacturing departments. We are looking for a self-starter who is able to direct their work day in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. . Good communication skills, the ability to organize and follow through are a major plus. Knowledge/use of machining equipment, inspection gages, and general production flow would be applicable assets. Any experience in the extrusion process or manufacturing would be an important consideration.

Sample Job Responsibilities

- Assist the QA department on material checks, confirming parts were produced to print, and performing TYE testing.

- Establish a knowledge base and ability to operate the paint line. Paint customer extrusions to spec. Along with paint line clean up, organization, and maintenance procedures.

- Support the fabrication department by cutting parts to size and performing value-add work on an as-needed basis.

- Assist the Production department as needed in various press functions including die changes, extrusion run out, and cut back.

• Starting wage is flexible DOE. Additional merit increases for strong performers
• $500 new hire bonus & up $390 quarterly for safety and attendance

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
