The Drone Operations Manager will be responsible for the growth, success, and operation of Acuren's Unmanned Inspection Services. Charged to design a world-class industrial inspection program using uniquely qualified experts and remotely piloted vehicles to help solve difficult problems.
• Work with internal team and strategic partners to:
• Procure equipment and software solutions
• Establish and execute training programs
• Establish procedures and quality programs and ensure consistent service delivery
• Oversee credentialing and permitting
• Develop and implement reporting protocol
• Technical support activities such as demonstrations, lunch and learns, collateral, etc.
• Ensuring sufficient technical resources, pilots and equipment to staff anticipated demand levels
• Client follow up and support
• Represent Acuren at conferences, trade shows, and industry forums
• Maintain metrics on performance of service line
• UAV Operator experience with verifiable flight time – fixed wing, rotor, or multirotor
• Current FAA certificate
• Experience in the defense and/or aerospace industry preferred
• Experience with Esri software solutions & GIS/CAD based databases a plus
• Experience with a wide variety of sensors, (LiDAR, BVLOS, EO/IR Cameras, and Multi/Hyperspectral)
• Experience with Photogrammetry software
• Experience with training junior staff members
• Experience with designing and implementing presentations
