Core Responsibilities:
- Prepare event name tags, table tents, and place cards.
- Assemble event signage.
- Track RSVPs and attendance via the registration platform Blackthorn.
- Communicate with attendees via email and over the phone.
- Update attendees’ contact information and dietary accommodations.
- File and organize past event materials.
- Event supplies organization.
- Staff registration table at on-campus events, welcome guests, and print additional name tags.
Required Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be currently enrolled at Iowa State University and be authorized to work off campus without additional approval from ISSO.
- Experience with event planning and/or Donor Relations preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to learn in-house systems.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Must adhere to strict confidentiality standards.
- Creativity, patience, and a belief in our organizational mission of: Aligning donor passion and generosity to advance Iowa State University’s land grant ideals.
This part-time student position will start in May 2024 and pays $13 per hour, 10-15 hours per week, with the flexibility to add or adjust work hours for events. The ISU Foundation is a work study eligible employer.
