Domestic Violence Program Manager
Founded in 1998, HarborCOV provides a variety of free and trauma-informed services to Domestic Violence survivors and their families. HarborCOV specializes in serving survivors who face additional barriers, such as language, cultural, and economic, by working to create connections to the supports survivors need to rebuild their lives through a continuum of options. JOB TITLE:Domestic Violence Program Manager
REPORTS TO: Director of Programs
Provide support and leadership to ensure high-quality, intensive case management through a survivor-centered, trauma-informed approach for community-based residents and their children to achieve short-term outcomes toward their longer-term stabilization goals. Responsibilities include supervision of Case Managers and other direct service-related staff including, but not limited to interns and volunteers and to support their consistent professional growth and development. Represent HarborCOV at relevant local/regional/statewide working groups and committees as requested; and work closely and in coordination with the Director of Programs for continuity in services.
Perform job in accordance with the mission, goals and objectives, core values and personnel policies of HarborCOV. Support and participate in the miscellaneous tasks of the organization not necessarily defined in job description. Carry out all job tasks collaboratively and cooperatively based on an understanding of culturally relevant, strength-based strategies within an economic and social justice framework.
Competencies
- Experience working with Domestic Violence survivors and trauma saturated environment.
- Knowledge of the DV and SA field and understanding of the dynamics of the nonprofit / advocacy/grass roots agencies.
- Effective listening skills.
- Ability to assess, deal constructively, manage and/or de-escalate crises with strong solution-focused problem-solving skills.
- Above-average organizational and consistent communication skills.
- Ability to model flexibility, proactive and accountable leadership within a team environment.

- Ability to develop and execute new staff onboarding training.
- Ability to develop and maintain strategic community collaborations relevant to emergency support services.
- Demonstrated understanding of culturally competent, strength-based strategies within an anti-racism, and economic and social justice framework.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the overall functioning of the HC team sharing responsibilities.
- Provide supervision and support to case managers, including hiring, training, progressive disciplinary action and evaluations.
- Supervise and support volunteers and/or interns as needed.
- Support Director of Programs & Services to identify, develop and deliver regular Direct Service Team trainings
- Oversee and ensure the programmatic documentation and data inputted by case managers.
- Planning and organizing the structure of the case management program, facilitating the assimilation of contents and identification of processes of basic case management service delivery.
- Making assignments and monitoring progresses, success and identifying areas of professional development for every staff in the team.
- Assure case managers professional development, work towards staff job satisfaction and retention.
- Prevent case manager burnt out through consistent and well-balanced supervisory support, finding motivational incentives, promoting self-care and emotional safety at the workplace.
- Coordinate and oversee case mangers coverage schedule.
- Determine and organizing resources needed for the best job performance.
- Oversee case management rotating case load and referral process, assign cases, and ensure that exit interviews/client evaluations are conducted.
- Ensure well-informed referrals for all clients by case managers
- Develop, coordinate and ensure regular team-building activities for staff.
- Keep Director of Programs regularly informed; recommend opportunities to improve the overall effectiveness of case management services for clients
HOURS: 35 hours a week with some flexibility
SALARY AND BENEFITS: $55,000 - $58,000 annually; comprehensive benefits package including employer paid health, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off, including vacation, personal days, holidays, and sick time; hybrid schedule; and more.
