Pay Range: $17.50-19.50 per hour
Additional Pay Opportunities:
- Bilingual Pay Differential — additional $3 per hour pay premium for employees who utilize a qualifying second language in the workplace, applicable to all hours worked.
Position: Hourly, non-exempt; Full time, 40 hours per week.
Schedule: Monday-Thursdays 8:00-5:00; Fridays 8:00-3:00

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR —
CSO Advocates’ primary responsibilities are to provide outreach, support and direct services to victims of Domestic Violence through the DSHS Community Service Office, and to advocate on a systems level for survivors of Domestic Violence. This position may be assigned some of all of the following position responsibilities.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING —
This position’s primary responsibilities include;
- Works independently on site at YWCA main, and in two local Community Service Offices
- Receives referrals from CSO staff and provides one-on-one case management advocacy for survivors of Domestic Violence including crisis intervention when needed and assisting these clients with drafting a Family Violence Plan.
- Informs survivors of their rights and of services offered within the DSHS system. Provide survivors with information about Domestic Violence and provide safety planning and referral information when requested.
- Provides an active link between DSHS survivors and the services provided at the YWCA to include shelter, legal, Advocacy Support Center, and the Women’s opportunity Center with a focus on bridges appropriate clients to WOC essentials classes.
- Documents appropriate information on the DSHS e-JAS system.
- Provide statistical reports monthly or when requested.
- Supply the CSO with educational material to promote public and professional awareness of the barriers victims of Domestic Violence face.
