As a team member in the Doggie Daycare Associate role, your primary role is to oversee dogs during play sessions, ensuring a secure and enjoyable environment. Your responsibilities extend to various tasks related to dog care and engaging with pet owners within the daycare setting. If you're passionate about pets, we invite you to be a part of Furrtropolis.
Responsibilities:
Playgroup Supervision: Oversee and supervise playgroups with multiple dogs, ensuring the safety and well-being of all pets.
Feeding and Medication: Administer feeding and medication based on individual pet requirements.
Dog Care Activities: Conduct walks and 1-1 play for dogs in accordance with their specific needs.
Photo Documentation: Capture photos of dogs during play sessions to share with owners and maintain effective communication.
Front Desk Assistance: Assist with the check-in and check-out process at the front desk, utilizing our booking platform, Gingr.
Customer Interaction: Engage with customers, providing responses to inquiries, addressing concerns, and maintaining a professional image for the business.
Sanitation Responsibilities: Ensure a clean and sanitary environment by promptly addressing and cleaning up dog waste.
Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety protocols to prevent the spread of illnesses.
Feline Care: Contribute to the well-being of feline residents by feeding and maintaining the cleanliness of cat kennels.
Overnight Guest Coordination: Coordinate with Kennel Associates for the optimal care of our overnight pet guests. This includes integrating them into playgroups when applicable, providing meals, assisting with bathroom breaks, and guiding them to their kennels at the end of the day for a smooth transition into the nightly routine.
Qualifications:
Passionate Pet Lover: Genuine affection and understanding of dogs and cats, with the ability to handle various breeds and sizes.
Expertise in Group Management: Competent in managing playgroups and supervising multiple dogs simultaneously.
Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills for interactions with pet owners and colleagues.
Reliability: Punctuality and reliability are essential qualities for this role.
Learning Agility: Willingness to learn and adhere to protocols related to pet handling and safety.
Physical Fitness: Physical capability to handle pets and perform cleaning tasks, requiring being on feet throughout the shift. Capable of lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Experience Advantage: Previous experience in a dog-related environment is advantageous.
Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
Education Level: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Flexible Availability: Flexible schedule, including the ability to work holidays and weekends.
Computer Literacy: Proficient in basic computer applications (Word, Excel, Gmail, etc.) with a minimum typing speed of 30 wpm, and familiarity with kennel software, specifically Gingr is a plus.
Multitasking Capability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple responsibilities.
