Hey there! I'm Ken, and my company (kenwalksdogs.com) is seeking part-time Dog Walkers to join our team! We've exclusively served the Austin, Texas area since 2018 and regularly care for 300+ pets in central Texas. We're so excited to finally dive in to Los Angeles after months of dreaming, manifesting, and meticulous planning... We officially launch services in LA on February 19!
This position is an hourly W2 employee position (NOT a 1099 independent contractor position!) training begins at $17/hour plus tips, commission, and weekly bonus opportunities. Dog walkers using their personal vehicles for work earn a $50 weekly gas stipend, plus commercial auto insurance that extends to your vehicle while on the job!

We cater to dogs who need a little "something more" from their daily walks - while you'll drop in on plenty of dogs who only need a quick potty break or stretch during the workday, you'll also participate and assist in various field trips and adventure activities, including:

- Pet store visits for safe indoor walks during inclement weather

This job is for someone who:

- Enjoys the OUTDOORS - can maintain personal health and safety in hot temperatures and various inclement weather
- UNDERSTANDS other humans, and can communicate comfortably with, and help pet parents feels safe, comfortable, and at ease during each service
Your tasks are assigned to you each day using our own mobile dog walking app - our amazing and loyal customers can schedule a wide variety of services like walks, field trips, adventures, etc - you'll have access to their dog's pickup details and check-in upon arrival. Mobile check-in with our app allows our customers to receive updates from their Dog Walker during and after each service, see a map of everywhere their dog walked, and download photos you'll take during their dog's trip.
Most dogs on your daily calendar will live in the same neighborhood, but sometimes, you may need to drive up to 30~ minutes for an appointment. As an employee, you're still on the clock and paid for all time spent on the road between tasks and when transiting dogs in your care. We also offer a $50 weekly mileage and gas stipend for staff using their personal vehicles for work!
Basic Requirements for consideration include:
Most dogs on your daily calendar will live in the same neighborhood, but sometimes, you may need to drive up to 30~ minutes for an appointment. As an employee, you're still on the clock and paid for all time spent on the road between tasks and when transiting dogs in your care. We also offer a $50 weekly mileage and gas stipend for staff using their personal vehicles for work!
Basic Requirements for consideration include:
- Pass a background check (criminal and driving record) with flying colors
- Maintain a working, insured vehicle where a dog (or two) will often join you for a ride (we'll provide the doggy seatbelts and seat covers)
- Own a working smartphone with a decent camera capable of taking Instagram-worthy photos of our client's pets
- Have considerable experience working with dogs in any capacity - this might look like fostering dogs in your home, volunteering with Austin Pets Alive, or pet sitting with Rover and Wag.
We maintain workers' compensation insurance and commercial auto coverage for all employees.
This position provides ample room for growth within our company for the right candidate. To date, we've hired all management positions by promoting our staff. Potential for full-time salaried positions with benefits available within one year of employment! This is an incredible opportunity to apply for this position during our initial launch... as the LA branch grows, remote administrative positions will become available (work from home... or wherever!)
We're presently seeking a candidate who is available for some or all of these hours:
Monday - Friday: 10am-3pm
Monday - Friday: 9am-4pm
Saturday - Sunday: 10am-3pm
