A Doctor's Assistant at Elite Vision Care will be responsible for:

• Perform analytical and data entry task ( including completing department and individual score cards)
• Answer patient phone calls and respond to patient messages
• Manage patient accounts and abide by all HIPAA regulations and laws
• Schedule Patient follow up appointments, answer any insurance questions the patient may have
• Discuss cost of visit with patients regarding private pay or high deductible plans
• Work as a team to ensure that each and every patient receives Elite Service at all times
• Communicate with Patient Care Coordinators regarding any necessary authorizations for services
• Scan documents
• Complete patient charts including notes, coding, prescriptions, and all required data
• Perform required medical testing including preliminary screenings and doctor ordered specialty testing
• Ensure all communication reports are sent regarding any referrals or Primary care physician communications
• Sell contact lenses to Patients in person or over the phone
• Discuss patient responsibility for contact lens evaluations and any testing required by the doctor
• Removing trash from the trash receptacle in the office and taking them to the dumpster in the back of the building
• Check incoming faxes through Weave and ensure they are appropriately

This position requires you to be on your feet for extended periods of time, lift up to 25 lbs., have good hand-eye coordination, as well as be able to bend, reach overhead and stoop frequently. Computer skills are required for this position.
Working hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:50 AM - 6:15 PM, Wednesday 8:20AM - 6:15PM, and Saturday 8:50AM - 3:15PM.
