Job Description
Ameresco is currently seeking experienced Construction Superintendent to join our Design Build Construction Team in providing leadership, planning and construction management expertise for the scheduling, execution and successful delivery of our multimillion-dollar Design Build construction projects. This opportunity is based out of Ft. Totten, Queens, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite leadership for direct subcontractor workforce, control and direction of all field and construction management activities.
- Work with Manager to ensure timely regulatory compliance and reporting;
- Monitor and report on project progress.
- Work with staff to forecast and maintain maintenance, repair and replacement stock on assigned projects.
- Order and coordinate inventory of material stock and equipment for all locations
- Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors and other construction personnel to determine project needs.
- Ensure job site remains safe, clean and orderly.
- Resolve on-site issues and emergencies.
- Estimate costs and ensure the project is on budget.
- Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years’ previous Construction Superintendent or similar role in Federal construction
- USACE Certification with Army Corps of Engineers
Additional Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or a related discipline preferred.
- In depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, manpower, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to lead field operations.
- Strong verbal, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills;
- Computer software proficiency with Microsoft Suite, ProCore, Prolog or equivalent construction industry Project Management Information System required.
- Computer software experience with Oracle P6, AutoCAD preferred.
- OSHA 30-hour Certification.
- Proven experience with OSHA safety standards, building systems, engineering, and project management regulations, practices, and codes.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and foster positive business relationships.
